The Metal Coat 14M Wire Flame Spray Gun is lightweight equipment that uses an air turbine to draw the wire in, melt it with fuel gas and blast the molten particles onto the substrate. This versatile gun features a convenient wire feed thumb trigger making it a preferred choice for hand-held use. The Metal Coat Flame Spray Gun 14M has a universal gas head, adapted to use Oxy/Acetylene or Oxy/Propane fuel gas. The standard gun can spray about 1/8″ wire using acetylene because of the fuel gas. Suitable hardware is available on request for handling all the standard wire sizes starting from 3/16″ right down to 1/16″. The flame spray torch’s controlled speed range from about 2 to 15 feet per minute (0.6 – 4.6 m/min) with standard gears; to approximately 5 to 45 feet per minute (1.5 – 14 m/min) with the easily installed, high-speed gear set. Although, the 14M Wire Flame Spray Equipment has been designed primarily for hand-held operation, a simple, rugged tool post fixture may be provided with the equipment to allow easy mounting on a machine tool such as a lathe. The whole system (except the compressor) can be mounted on a cart for mobile applications and field repair work.
